For nearly five decades, the Data Flute brand has been synonymous with high-performance, application-specific carbide cutting tools. If you want the highest metal removal rates with the best finish, most consistent tool life and the lowest levels of unwanted harmonics, it is essential to match the carbide round tool to the work material and job at hand.

We deliver these tools from our state of the art manufacturing facility in Pittsfield, MA. This is also home to our R&D facility, machining test center, and customer support center. Having all of this under one roof allows us to better serve our customers.

The new HM70XBN for hard milling

The HM70XBN is an innovative new tool series by Data Flute, meticulously engineered for the milling of hard metals within the 52-70HRC range. It is capable of delivering superior surface finishes of less than 0.2Ra µm (8Ra µin) across a variety of hard metals, significantly reducing the necessity for costly hand-polishing processes post-machining. The ball nose design is ideally suited for machining intricate 3D features typically found in injection molds, blow molds, dies, and other complex contoured machining applications.

 

Designed with a premium carbide substrate and enhanced with a high-performance coating, the new HM70XBN by Data Flute provides exceptional tool life and surface finish in hard metals. Standard sizes are available in metric sizes and are in stock now.

Data Flute is excited to offer our new CVD diamond coated router product line in three distinct options: compression, versatile, and honeycomb routers. These new tools combine a premium carbide substrate with a high-performance CVD diamond coating, resulting in tools that offer superior performance with exceptional tool life.

CVD diamond coated routers are used to machine a wide variety of composite materials including CFRP and GFRP materials, aramid fiber materials, fiber-filled plastics, and others. The use of these materials is rapidly growing due to their high strength-to-weight ratios.
